He began his medical training began at Andhra Medical College, Vishakhapatnam followed by General Surgery residency at the PGIMER in Chandigarh. He was Formerly Assistant Professor of Surgery at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore and received the prestigious Common Wealth Fellowship and pursued training in Renal & Pancreatic Transplantation at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, U.K.

He worked there till 2004 in that capacity when he left for Bombay to obtain training in Endovascular Neurosurgery under Dr.Anil Karapurkar in Bombay Hospital. He rejoined CMC, Vellore in 2005 and worked as Assistant and later as Associate Professor till 2007. In 2007 he joined as a Fellow in Interventional Neuroradiology at King Edwards Memorial Hospital (KEM), Bombay. After completion of his Fellowship he left for Dhaka to develop a Neurosurgery Department at Square Hospitals, a leading corporate venture to provide standard Neurosurgical care in Bangladesh during March 2008 to March 2010.
He has obtained Diploma in Medico-Legal Sciences from Symbiosis Institute of Health Care, Pune, India in 2007. He successfully completed MSc. Neurovascular Disorders course conducted jointly by University of Paris and Mahidol University, Thailand in between 2007-2008.
